Yamudu Movie Review:
The Film :
Yamudu is the Telugu dubbed version of Tamil film Singam which
tasted phenomenal success in Tamil Nadu. The hero Surya is popular with the Telugu audience after his super hit Ghajini. This is an out-and-out police Vs criminal’s action flick.
The Synopsis:
The son (Surya) of a kirana merchant follows the advise of his father and becomes a police officer. He is a good person and keen to help the people. He is sincere and honest. He is also in a romantic bonding with a big businessman’s daughter (Anushka). Then he comes across a hard-core criminal (Prakash Raj) who has been terrorizing the people. In violent confrontations, the police officer eliminates the threat of the evil villain.
The Performances:
Surya is energetic and emotes well but the police officer’s role has its own limitations. Anushka is quite glamorous and nothing much to do in the acting department. Prakash Raj the consummate actor is villainy personified. Nassar is good in his cameo. All others do well in their given roles.
The Techniques:
The story is routine but the screenplay is good and makes the narration interesting. Without much of Telugu nativity, the flavour of dubbing is not that much favourable. Director Hari tries his best to give an action drama but the flow of the film is marred by gory violence. The music by Devi Sri Prasad is foot-tapping but the song-and-dance sequences appear to hinder the angry police officer’s committed campaign against the evil-doers. Cinematography and audiography are good. Production values are high.

Yamudu is a regular action formula film with sundry elements of entertainment sprinkled around. Worth a look-in if you are a fan of Surya or Anushka.

Allu Arjun’s “Arya-2” a sequel to the earlier successful film “Arya” Kajal Agarwal plays the female lead while Navadeep and Shraddha Das play parallel roles. The music for the film has been composed by Devi Sri Prasad and slated to relese audio on Nov 2nd.
Originally the film was to be released on Diwali day put postponed to November 18 since by that time Allu Arjun’s cousine Ram Charan Tej’s “Magadheera” completes 100 days.
Aarya2 is jointly produced by V Aditya Babu and Bhogavalli Prasad under the banner of Aditya Arts and directed by Sukumar.

Style Awards function was held at Hytechs at Hyderabad two days ago. Magadheera hero Ram Charan Tej remains centre of attraction of the show, because of his stylish dress and his confident ramp walks. Tollywood hot girls Nayantara , Priyamani , Ileana , Sriya , Shradda Das and Vimala Raman were quite thrilled to watch ‘ Ram Charan Tej’ walk on the ramp just like any other model in the industry.
Wearing a black Kurta and red coloured Pyjama, he walks on the ramp like real ‘Magadheera’ while the hot babes cheering him from the audiances gallery. His parents Chiranjeevi and Surekha were quite impressed with his rich looks and the way he confidently moved on the ramp. Indeed, Chiranjeevi has a perfect successor for him, and no doubt that he is quite happy for being replaced by his son.
